RETUNE STUDIO was established as a part of an initiative of the Cairo-based independent music label 100Copies, which focuses on supporting the city’s “alternative” music scene. For its first project, the studio worked with seven upcoming musicians within the genres of Mahraganat, Hip-hop, and electronic music to produce a compilation CD. In this video, 100Copies founder Mahmoud Refat explains the various forms of technical and artistic support that the studio has provided for the selected artists, who came together for a CD release concert in September.
